OBD Connector Cover?

Is there supposed to be a cover or dust cap on the OBD connector? My truck doesn't have one but I don't know if a tech left it off or it never had one. Seems like it's kind of exposed in the foot well area where dirt or snow might get in.

Neither my 06 or my 08 came with one. If you are really worried about it stick a strip of electrical tape over it.

I have never seen a vehicle with one.
