Not sure...
When the AC is on, the two vents on each side of the steering wheel are, well, lets say cool, not as freezing as my 99 was. And the other vents on the pass side are... not hot, but you can tell that something isn't closed all the way and heat is leaking into the mix. Also feels like not as mush air is blowing through those either.

Oh yea and, takes forever for it to switch from vent to def.

Anyone had this problem?

Thanks
Rob

Typical of a system needing a charge.

That sounds like an issue with the Mode door. You may want to look into Heater Treater.

Back to evening brew . . .

Thanks! Figured it wasn't something easy, but the heater treater videos are good.

As for the one side hot and one side cold I had the same problem and it was because the system needed to be recharged. The system is split so that the top of the evaporator feeds the passenger side vents and the bottom feeds the drivers side, so if the charge is low only the bottom half of the unit gets really cold therefore the drivers side gets cooler air. Also when the charge is low it will occasionally freeze up and blow warm air especially on a very humid day, this can be overcome by turning the unit off for a short time and letting it defrost and then back on and you have cold air again but is another sign of the system needing a recharge. As for the blend doors I have noticed that if you turn the fan off before switching from one position to another the doors seem to move quicker / easier I guess its due to the force of the air blowing against the door and causing resistance. if the doors were broken I do not think it would change positions at all. Basing that info on my doors being replaced twice by the dealer and when broken it would only blow out of the dash vents.
