No leather on 2006 sports?

I was building a 2006 2500 last night, and with the sport appearance package, I was unable to select leather seating. Is this true? I like the sport package, but I would take a leather SLT over a cloth seat sport.

As far as I can tell the Sport is available with cloth buckets, cloth bench, or vinyl buckets with black leather insert. If you want a manual trans the only options is the cloth bench. I was bummed about not being able to get a leather bench in the Sport. I'd almost talked myself into one despite the electric t-case shifter. So I think I'll just get another SLT.

Well, that doesn't seem right. I was able to order the SLT+ (G or H package) with leather along with the sport package when I ordered my truck. Why would they want to change that? It doesn't make sense!

Here's an option you may want to entertain.

I have a friend who bought a new truck last week. He too was wanting leather but it was not an option. In order to make the deal, the dealership agreed and paid to take the truck to a professional upholstery shop.

They recovered all the seats in his choice of colored leather and there is absolutely nothing to tell that it was not done at the factory.

That seems like alot of work, wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to buy a laramie with leather, and get the bumpers and grill painted?

Both options seem a little extreme for me, I'll probably just get a white truck with the crome bumpers.

There must be something wrong with the site your building on. You'll be able to get leather with your sport, Laramie, SLT, what ever your building. I can build what ever I want with the dodge.ca I use.

I'm looking at the 06 brochure and it only shows those 3 seating options for the sport. And in the description on the interior colors and fabrics page it shows that everything but the center inserts are vinyl on the Sport's "leather" seats.

My dream truck is a SLT with SRT10 seats (in the 40/20/40 arrangement), and sport interior panels to replace the fake wood. I sure wish I knew someone high up at the assembly plant.

That's what I did. There are ton's of good upholstery shops in this area for some reason and the quality of the leather is far better than factory and the workmanship is just as good.
