The cigar lighter has been working just fine from day one; I use it mainly for cell phone charging. However, plugged the charger in last night, and it no longer works... Tried a couple different 12-volt accessories, and nothing would energize? I checked the fuse that is labled for the lighter (and a couple others just because), but they all checked out OK. Has anyone ever seen a lighter socket bite the dust? Any other ideas??

 

Take a volt meter and check the socket. Center is hot, outside casing is ground. Have seen a couple of issues like this. The cig. lighter is only on when the ignition is on. Hope this helps.

 

Forgot to mention that I had checked that, with a test light actually. Nothing...
