Cigar lighter access

I have a 3500 with the center console/bucket seats. I want to tap into the hot side of the cig plug in my dash for a "switched" accessory. Does the trim around the radio/HVAC/dash control just pop out or are there hidden screws?

Thanks.

Looking inside the recepticle you can see a couple of metal tabs that hold the socket in it's holder. By depressing with a small tool the socket comes loose and can be pulled out from the socket. External snap-ring pliers work best. The wires are pretty short but can be tapped for switched 12V+ power. Pull the fuse or disconnect batteries first. I tried to attach the manual section for the process but couldn't.

Thanks I was looking at those tabs but wasn't sure. I pulled the lower panel off below the steering wheel and looked for access to the plug from there... Nope looks like HVAC blocking the way.

More research lead to buying trim tools and digging deep into the floor console till I realized this is one of the rigs that doesn't have the screws for the bezel around the radio/hvac... So I was able to pry out the whole thing.

PITA but now I know how!

Thanks for the help.
