BELIEVE ME, Dodge will not let you forget about the warranty upgrade before the standard warranty runs out, a few months before your "standard" warranty is up they'll start calling, and sending letters asking if you want to extend it. Price is the same regardless what you dealer will try to convince you of, I would wait till then to make the decision. If your worried about needing it at that time, go ahead. but I'll be suprised if you decided to do it. by that time all the bugs are already worked out and your good to go!

I opted for the added care from DC and got 100 dollar deductable 7yr/100,000 for 1,390 dollars and had it put in with the 48mth interest free payments. They told me that is about a 30% discount and would only do it at time of sale. I don't know if they were telling me the straight scoop or not, but for peace of mind I bought it. No regrets because I can't keep up with all the new tech stuff anyway, I'll let them worry about it.

I bought the DC max care 7/70 with $0 deduct for $1,000. I emailed about 7 dealers looking for the best deal and bought from them.

Cant find the link but do a search and you should be able to find an online site that has pretty good prices also.

I rec'd a Daimler/Chrysler warranty offer two weeks ago and it says the offer remains good up and until the new 3 yr/36000 expires. The offer can also be purchased on Dodge's web site at any time. So there's no hurry. However there's no interest accrued no matter when you buy and the price will probably go up over time. Think about this for example, if DC dealers report large amounts of failures on the 48RE transmission because a specific part is breaking often, DC like all manufacturers, will immediately raise the cost of those warranties that cover those trannys. I'm still considering buying the extended warranty and will make up my mind after I determine how suspect to failure transmissions and rear-ends and transfer cases are. By then DC will know too and no doubt I will have to pay more, but I'm banking the difference will still be cheaper than having to pay for rebuild/replacement.

The 7-70 powertrain bought within the first year of ownership and less then 12kmi is only$1155. After the first year, it seems to go up. Seems better than some of the dealer rates Ive seen.

What's the cost for a 7yr/100,000 mile $100 deductable that covers everything bumper to bumper? Things like blower motors, heater cores, radiators, heat exchangers, ac compressors, turbos, power window and seat motors etc?
Clicking on details, it appears $2640.00 to me.
Interesting foot notes. I quote,
"To purchase this plan, we suggest you print this page and bring it to your Dealer.

*Dealers are free to set prices to meet local market conditions.

To print this page, choose "Print" from the "File" menu in your browser".

Steve, mind sharing which dealers and what the price ranges were? Man you saved big $$$$. 0 ded, bumper to bumper to 70,000 not 100,000 is that right? Still sounds like a good deal to me.

That was for the MaxCare 7 year 70K mileage with $0 deduct. Triad Dodge here in Winston Salem was the dealer. I went with the 70k becasue I dont drive that much. Send them an email and tell them you will pay what I did for the warranty. They should bite. I didnt buy my truck from this dealer either. Dont have the list of dealers but the next best one was $1100.

Here's a link that's show the best online pricing.
