new here...

hey guys.....just wanted to say hello....

I'm a new Cummins owner......

2007 2500 Crew Cab 4x4 Thunder Road pkg..with the 5.9 motor.....black...so far soo good...I like this truck....I am a Parts Mgr at a Nissan dealer and am coming off ownership of 2 Nissan Titans....a 2005 and a 2006...I love the Titans but they guzzle alot of gas and I drive too many miles.....I put 35k miles on my '06 in 13 months.....

I have owned 2 Ford Super Duty's as well..had engine problems with both of them...my dealership owns 3 Ford dealers as well.....needless to say...my buying a Dodge didn't go over soo well...lol

I got the truck a week and a half ago ....already added...chrome factory steprails..."so my girlfriend can get in..lol", factory rubber mudflaps and a spray in bedliner.......I have lots of pics of it...I will post later today...

thanks......I'm not "planning" on any other mods anytime soon....the pockets are a little empty right now...lol

EVERY truck I've owned I've lifted immediatly after purchasing....so everyone is asking me when it's going to happen.....truthfully.....I don't plan on lifting this one....I like it just the way it is..........and I want to enjoy the fuel mileage.....lol

and I've had my share of problems with custom mods.....on my Ford 7.3....engine blew up at 52k....Ford said it was from mods I did....

I'm done dealing with all that stuff.....

Welcome from a fairly new guy. I also traded in an '06 Titan for the Ram in my sig, but I only got it to get me out of Alaska. My '01 gasser was starting to get tired and didn't want to risk driving down the Alcan highway towing my '67 Coronet. I had the Titan for 11 months and put 22k on it. It was a good truck and loaded up far more than my Ram, but I will live. Mama is dealing with the transition well and likes being in a bigger truck again.

Mopeman.........

yes...I miss my Titan.....yes..the Titans have way more bells and whistles but I'm hoping in the long run the "reliability" and longevity of the Cummins will make it worth it....I had 2 Titans and loved 'em both.....they just guzzle too much gas ...mine were both lifted 6inches with 35's on them...

I avgd 10 mpg.....14 or so on the highway.....if you were careful enough....

My girlfriend is having a hard time adjusting also....lol

she'll survive as well.............I love the 8ft bed again though...

My local supplier couldn't get the Weathertechs to I went with the Huskys...I had them in one of my SuperDutys and they seemed to work well.....
