New Hankooks cured my pull-to-the-right

I had ATM RF10 Hankooks installed on my truck yesterday. Surprisingly, they seem to have cured my pull (truck wanted to veer right). Coming from the stock Michelins with 48.5k on them, they must have worn funny to cause the pull. We'll see if it comes back in time. For now (with all of about 10mi on them), I am loving the Hankooks.

I went with the stock size (265). I tow about 10k lbs occasionally. I have the 3.73 gears and didn't want to compromise my towing ability. In only 10mi, it's hard to say about the ride. I thought I detected a little extra stiffness - but that could be the pressure they set them to. They're very quiet . I can't really tell the difference in noise between my stock highway Michs and these (from my short trip home and back to the office this AM). But, I only got it up to 50mph on asphalt. I'll let you know after Thanksgiving. I'll be making a 300mi R/T to the desert and let you know how it handles the freeway expansion joints and noise levels at 80mph.

You will enjoy that tire. I've racked up almost 1000 miles on mine (in 285/70). Minimal road noise, great traction, and tows awesome. I can't wait to try them out in the snow.

I'm liking mine so far. Had 'em about 3 weeks. Went 285s, $744 shipped from dicounttiredirect.com, mount and balance was about $50 at Walmart.

And a great price to boot! I looked at tires today but just cant stomach spending that kind of coin right now when mine are still OK, if the snow hits and these dont cut it the Hankooks will be on the top of my list.

Uhhh, I care or I wouldnt have asked. If I could get a set for $744 with a 50K warranty I would consider making my way down to one of their stores.

Discount stores match any price I've found especially their online prices.

Even with that they hit you with tax and these other little charges that add up so I just buy my tires online usually.

Trip report on the new Hankooks. Based on my 300 mi trip to the desert, I made the following observations about the new tires:

1) Pretty quiet. Almost as quiet as the stock Michs. But, they were highway tires only. So, not really a fair comparison.

2) A little stiffer. I sensed the freeway expansion joints a bit more with these tires. But, again, this could be due to the tire pressure set by the installers. I still haven't taken the time to adjust them.

3) Pull to the right is gone or at least reduced significantly. I don't know how a tire can cause this. Maybe the result of uneven wear.

4) These tires appear to wander a bit more than the stock tires. At speeds of 70mph+, I find myself steering more to keep the truck in my lane. I guess I should have my ball joints checked.

5) It rained today. So, first chance to experience these on slippery streets. Much improved over the Michs.

That's it! Overall, I love them. Better yet, they were $780 installed and I have a rebate check coming for $100. Let's hope they wear well going forward.

Is the rebate from Hankook or where you bought them, and could you post a link to the rebate?
