New grille problems.

My dad's '04 dodge Ram 2500 just got a new front grille. Only problem is its all metal. So, the stock hood shocks just cant handle the weight. When you open it, it simply falls quickly. Please help.

take the gas shock to your local trailer supply store and have them match up some new ones with more lifting power.
should be easy.

I know for sure these guy's can help you out!

I installed new (stronger) lift struts when I installed a MOPAR spoiler on the Charger deck lid. I don't know why they didn't include them with the spoiler knowing the weight of the spoiler would exceed the stock lift struts capacity. More money for DC in the long run!
