Need quick help - tire size ?
OK, ok, I know these questions get old, but here's a slight twist.
Looking for everyone's experience with the largest tire size to fit on stock rims, with a 2" leveling kit, INCLUDING actually compressing the suspension -
not just on level ground, turning lock-to-lock.
I'm wondering if 35s with the leveling kit will rub when the front suspension articulates off-road. It's just a temporary setup until my Kore Unlimited next year, but I still want it useable for more than street driving.
Thanks in advance for any advice, guys!

315/70/17s will rub the control arms when the wheels are turned all the way. They should miss everything else.
If you like H2 wheels they will clear everything with the 315s on. If you don't like the H2s, and you want wheels, get the same offset and width as the H2s in another design.
You can run stock wheels but when wheeling you'll be rubbing. The leveling kit should not make any difference with the clearance. My truck is lowered in the rear and stock in the front and I ran 315s on H2s with no problems in the most extreme wheeling the truck could do. Even in steep rocky washouts with the rear tire 3 feet off the ground.

Hey, Doc, 2 other questions:
1. Are you a doctor?
2. How have you liked the BFGs in your sig? Noise, road manners, treadwear would be nice to know. I'm pretty familiar with the off-road manners of them.
Thanks again!

The stock wheels are about 6 1/4" and the H2s are about 5 3/8" backspacing. The H2s are 8 1/2' wide. This gives a little more clearance between the tire and the control arm without offsetting so much as to rub the fender.

I wonder if a small wheel spacer (maybe 3/8" or so) to reduce the backspace on the stockers closer to the BS on the H2 wheels would work well?
Keep the suggestions coming! Thanks!

if it runs on diesel then I am it's doctor
I think these tires are worth every penny imo they are no where near as loud as the old bfg's actually the quietest mud terain I have ever had.
They handle as well as the bfg all terains they replaced
I have nearly 40thousand on them with about 50% tread left that was 8000lb 100% of the time towing 50% of the time wear. They are wearing very flat no sign of anything weird all 4 balanced with less than 1 ounce of weight

I`ve been using 1/4 in spacers on the front wheels for years now , with NO problems at all.
They help with my 37s on the stock wheels...they still rub the arms , but just a little. The 35s would be even less.

Did you have any problem with not having enough threads on the wheel studs with the spacer in place, or did you replace the wheel studs with longer?
