Mudflaps

I performed a search but couldnt find quite what I was looking for. Has anyone installed the mudflaps that you can buy from the cummins website. If so, how effective are they and whats the quality.

If not, what are you using and why. I know they make really cool ones for duallies but I have a SRW.

I'm getting ready to install the big Cummins "C" flaps either this weekend, or next week sometime.

I ordered the smaller of the 2 sets and they are still a bit huge for us folks that don't need training wheels

I'll take some pics as I install them.

I'm planning on getting some cardboard, cutting that to the size I want, then cutting the mudflaps to the same size, keeping the whole "C", and covering my 315's that stick out 2 inches past the fender.

I got some 1/4 inch bolts, nuts, lockwashers and flat washers, and plan on using the holes already in the fenders.

Hopefully that will be enough to keep them in place.

Check in 2nd Gen Accessories for my writeup.

If you get the ones with the Ram head and the Cummins C, they are very easy to install, but a bit narrower than I would have liked. Just drill 2 holes where the screws for the wheel well liners are and use those screws. They are pretty rigid and not rubbery as I expected. They do like nice though, just make sure they are straight before drilling.

Yes, the ones with the rams head and C are the ones I'm talking about. phox...are these the same ones you are talking about. The only 2 I saw were for a dually or SRW.

No, mine are just the big Cummins C.

Found here.

I didn't really like the Dodge/Cummins ones, and the ones for the 2500(SRW) weren't wide enough anyway.

phox_mulder is correct in saying that the Ram/Cummins ones are not very wide. But I still think they look pretty good, because I didn't see the Cummins only ones before I got mine.

I may go with the mopar HD rubber ones. I think they may work better than the molded plastic. Simple yet effective.
