I tried a search but came up with nothing ...

I know about the others , but am wanting to know anyone that is (or has used) one of the MTX boxes in their Quad Cab.

Lots of info. on the net , and lots of good comments ...but if anyone here has first hand exp. , lets hear it.

I`m not looking for a loud, booming , competition stereo (obviously)...just a quick simple upgrade to the "Infinity" system that`s in the truck....and I`m sure it`ll be just like anything else..once you change something , you keep going untill everything is changed

 

I have one and it is great with just the 4500 series they supply with it. It punches good with my aftermarket HU, not so much with my factory one. Still worked great but it was a bit muffled with the the factory deck. Make sure you put a little power to it so it sounds right also.

 

Did you have the infinity system , as a stock stereo?

 

No, I had the regular one. Might get better luck with the Infinity, but I think the problem came with the LOC, but the Infinity might have it's own RCA outputs for a sub.

 

Ram Daddy- I've got the MTX box...LOVE IT! You won't be dissapointed. Be sure you fasten it to the floor under the seat to get the full effect. I have a Sony H/U, alpine amp and speakers in the 4 doors...diggin it!
