monroe reflex shocks

well just to say I removed the bilsteins 5100 yesterday after 80,000 miles and installed the monroe reflex shocks. the difference is what I wanted . bilsteins ride is stiff and firm, and the monroes are firm and plush . better more comfortable ride .not jaring around ,the bilsteins are a great shock but to stiff for me .just wanted to post my review for anybody looking for a better ride

i see. Im in market for new shocks. Thought about relex too. Had Bilsteins on my 97. They were good, but had almost a harsh ride.
Not sure what to put on my 2wd 03.

I also went with the Reflexes on my 2nd gen. Like you describe, they offer good control without firming up the ride any more than the factory shocks did. I'm happy with the choice too.

Been looking for shocks too. "firmer ride" is not what I'm looking for either. What kind of cost/warranty on Monroe's?

Granted I used to Hot-Shot for a living so going from the OEM's to the Reflex shocks after 2 yrs and over 200k miles was very welcomed. I'm still very pleased with the Monroes but now 7 yrs later they are starting to fade quite a bit. I'm an off-roader so firm shocks don't really bother me much and the Bilsteins are on my shopping list.

Overall......I am very pleased with the Reflex shocks .

Been running the Monroe Reflex for several years now and still pleased with them. Helps tame the rough streets without knocking your fillings out.

I have Reflex Shox on mine since 2004. I think I paid about $135 back in 04 still have them. The ride is good with Reflex shox. In fact I have put them on my 1996 12 Valve also. and my son's 1993 GMC Sonoma.

just did a 900 mile road trip and shocks are great, part # is 911222,and 911223 paid $201 out the door and 2 hour install by myself. makes rough road a pleasure to drive on . the bilsteins 5100s rattled my dash board and my teeth . will never put them on again!

Found these shocks from Rock auto, $163.35 including shipping for my 2010 mega.
Oh and a 50 dollar rebate if purchased by April 30, 2017!
