I would second this. One (and i mean only one) of the many reasons that I looked at Dodge was because of the shorter QC. My Ford F350 QC long bed was just too long and uncomfortable to be a daily driver. It was my daily driver for 6 yrs. I had to wait for Dodge to come out w/ a QC. Boy was I happy the 3rd gen QC was designed as it is - PERFECT!

so the megacab will be available with shortbed only? (cancels any plans to trade) real trucks have 8' beds. not a worthwhile tradeoff imo.

 

A real truck has a true crewcab not a 3/4 quad cab

 

Mine is a real truck - - I love the cab. I would have purchased the extended cab if they didn't have the quad.

 

I like the suicide doors on my model. Great for hunting, and access to tool. I really don't like a 4 door truck.

 

I had the a 2001 1500 with the suicide doors and really liked it. I kinda wish that it was still an option, I would have bought one. I got the quad now but the short bed because I do not want a truck that is that long. I can see why they want to come out with the Mega cab but they would need to still have 3 levels, maybe bring back the suicide doored quad/extended.
