I appologize because I know I have read this on there and I searched and searched and Cant find it.

What I think I have is a Venting problem in my parents truck. Its over warrenty so Dont wanan dealerize it yet. They say its now blowing so strong out of the dash vents. Then today when I had it I heard a noise from the fan. Like something was hitting it. Every speed works and after I changed the vent location (to defrost) it went away. So I dont think its a fan problem I think a door is stuck/broke. Anyone know what Ineed to be looking for?

 

sounds like the recirculation door is broke or the blend door is broke...I think someone was saying they took there fan out reached up and the door was laying there..they pulled it out and left it...

I removed my fan with the 3 screws and saw my recirc door laying up there above the fan broke. If while driving down the road and the dial set to recirc you still feel air coming out your vents its the recirc door. Just got my 06 mega back yesterday for this fix from the dealer. Took the part # of the new box design and pic's from the DTR thread and they replaced it all. No squeaks, rattles and all works well. Ended up really pleased.
