Im not a big fan of the mega cab . Personally I think it looks silly. If I wanted all the comforts of a sedan i would have bought one.

I can just see teh tree huggers having a fit about that new ford LOL. I guess they have to compete with the international SXT. I can see nit now a soccer mom on her cellphone driving one of those in SOCAL and not paying atention

I've seen the mega cab and sat in one and I WANT ONE! Sorry guys, there's those of us who have families and we need the "sedan" option on a pickup. I would prefer a long bed, but I only have tag trailers so I could live with a little box.

still the ugliest truck made!

although it is nice on the inside, that doesn't make up for the outside.

ugly truck

I agree with you about the truck being ugly but give it time. I hated my third gen's looks when I bought it, but it grew on me and I love it to death now!

I also agree that it is UGLY. I have given it time(dakota, durango) and I still do not like it!!! Some new style take time to grow on a person, but I have a hard time believing this is going to be one of them. Dodge is going the exact opposite direction that it needs to be with styling....... Just maybe the 3rd gen bumpers/front end will bolt right up to the 06's. jmo

The reason they're not offering a long bed on the mega cab is because the megacab w/short bed has the same wheelbase as a quad cab w/long bed. It's a PITA to park the quad cab lwb. Could you imagine trying to park a truck with another foot and a half on the end??

I didnt care much for the 3rd gens much but they grew on me and I think they are sharp .. But the new front ends on the dakota and durango are horrible ! I dont think the rest of time is enough for these vehicles to grow on me.

I don't mind the front ends of the Durango so much - it's the rest of the body that I don't like. It looks like a mini van with a truck hood and fenders attached to it to me.
I think the Mega Cab will have to make it in my personal collection! It would in a heart beat if it came with the "Contractors Special" option.

You either own a SWB truck, or aren't used to your LWB truck yet, but my LWB is a peice of cake to park, just about everywhere I want, including parallel parking in down town san diego....

Yeah I too agree, even though I own a shorty.

Now I wish I bought a long bed instead, but not all the time.

Only when I need a bigger bed.

The parking issue won't stop me next time.
