Hey all,

I may have to unload my '05 QC 2500 SLT 4x4 diesel. Has cloth interior, tow mirrors, cd, sliding rear glass, tow package, Westin chrome nurfs, leveling kit and 315 BFG's. Truck is an automatic and has just over 6500 miles. It's super low mileage because I only get to drive it on weekends - I travel with my new job.

Oh, the truck also has the "Thunderoad" package, but I didn't have the decal put on.

Seriously though, don't know what you owe on it, but keep in mind, most used buyers will have to finance and banks generally don't loan more than loan value.

 

Dealers around here, Pac NW, would sell it for around 37K. Private party sales might be less but its a great truck.

Try nada.com and see what they say.

 

As you drive this truck off the lot you loose quite a bit. Fuel prices aren't going to help you out either.

For sure private party sell. Looks like it's real clean. Make sure you show it that way including under the hood. If you can limit your sales to daylight hours that will help also. Anyone selling a rig that only lets you see it in the dark is hiding something!

$35K might be the top since I bougth mine for a little more than that as a loaded SLT Big Horn. I hope your not in a hurry. The truck is worth every bit of 35K but you might have to wait for someone who realizes that.

They are selling new ones on ebay for 32-33k for similar options. So off of that you would have to take off 4-5k just for year older, plus much easier to buy off dealer lot with their incentives. But I did see an 05 slt with 4000 mi sell for over 31k on ebay though, but I think that was a fluke. good luck, it sucks that they lose so much value in that first year for a truck with 6000mi that will last for 300,000 mi+.

 

I'd say it'd be worth about 30k. I've decided to trade a similar 05 on an 06 and comparing dealers trade in offers, Ebay auctions, and comments from various people I've offered the truck to I think 30k is a good private party value. Mine has 12k miles, NV5600, Line-X and still has stock tires.

Mac Haik Dodge in Houston offered me 17k for trade in... what a bunch of scam artists. That's about 10k off what most dealers will give me on trade.
