I need to go and pick up some concrete blocks and need to know the max weight I can put in the bed. BTW it will only be a 10 mile drive get them home. Thanks.

I've had two pallets of st augustine... probably 1500-1700 per pallet.... wouldn't recommend for long distance!! although I drove for a hundred miles..... definitely sitting on the overloads a bit....

I've had about 3500 lbs. in my 2500. The rear squated about 4.5". The suspension did not handle it great, but I ever felt like I was out of control. The load was pretty high up - I was hauling 5 yds. of mulch. If I had to do this consistently, I would get Timbrens or airbags. For a one time haul, it was OK.

A Buddy of mine hauled Two 2 ton bearings in his 3500. I wouldn't do it to my truck but he did, without problems. Lucky of course.

Don't forget the load range of your tires.
For short distances it may not matter.

Pallet of 60, 40# bags on the pallet in my standard SRW 3500 and it set low. Only traveled 8 miles, not a problem but don't think I would doit again.

As you can see from the picture, I haul 3500lbs on mine all the time. I do have airbags and Rancho 9000 shocks.
