Yes they are still metric tires but the load range D comes with a LT285/70/17. LT gets a 40,000 mile warranty.

Where as the P285/70/17 gets a 50,000 mile warranty in the same tire with a C load rating

Chuck,

IMHO you made a good choice. Although if the Toyo caries a waranty (all be it 40 or 50k) and the Nitto dosent, it may be worth a little more $.

Yes, the 295 do fit with no rubbing issues. They are a great tire IMO.
