Lower ball joints wont press out!!

I'm replacing my front ball joints we got the upper out after the stud busting through the cap and having to cut the outter sleve out of the spindle.

now the lower we removed the little clip and started pressing it out she moved about 1/4 inch then nothing we have heated and heated and heated. and been using cans of PB blaster days before we started and lots after the start. have used a 5lbs sludge hammer on press with lots off pressure. nothing.

we have left the press on all night and soaked in pb blaster. with the same result nothing I'm lost for what to do . any help would be great thanks.

Generally speaking, if it has broken loose and moved slightly, it isn't rusted in place anymore. It will be one of two things:

- the bottom edge got slightly mushroomed from the hammer or press, and won't fit through the bore.

- the ball joint is bottomed out in the press's receiving cup, or won't fit into it at all. Take one of the new joints and make sure it fits far enough into the receiving cup you are using.
