Low mileage CTD
I was talking to a buddy the other day and found out he had 70,000 miles on his truck. Can't remember if it is an '04, or '04.5, but it is newer than my '03. He asked how many miles on mine, and I had to go verify it, but I only have 19,760 miles on my '03. About half of those miles are accumulated by pulling a 16K fiver (25,500 gross) to new contract locations, then used to commute to work and back to the trailer for the other half. At this rate, I'll never get the engine broke in!
Whenever we "road trip", we usually take the Tundra. Better mileage, cheaper fuel, and fewer tires to wear out.
I guess my question is am I hurting my truck? Am I decreasing the life-span? I was planning on this being the last big truck I own for a long time.
Thanks for your input.

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I am not too weird after all. I figured out that about half the mileage is towing heavy, and half is commutting to work. It doesn't sit until time to tow, it is a daily driver, just not very far at a time.
Thanks again.....
