Looking to buy a leftover 05, what factory incentives?
Does anybody know what incentives dealers recieve on leftover trucks. I am buying a qc long bed cumins auto 2500 4x4 and the normal options no leather or frilly things. It is a work truck. The sticker is 41k what is a reasonable price to pay. Roughly speaking. Thanks for any replies. I'm trying to gauge how much the dealer gets in incentives as I am trading a similar 03 that is a pos. I don't want to be too taken advantage of. Thanks

I purchased my '05 last fall, it stickered for 41k as well and I ended up paying 31k and some change for it. If you are willing to haggle you should be able to get it pretty cheap. After all it has been sitting on the lot for some time now...

do any of you live in the north east? It is really hard to haggle around here. Of you that have the 05 are you happy so far? I can't afford to buy an 06 there is no way they will haggle on one. They just do not care. It will sell full price people are kinda dumb around here. I try to shop around but you get the runaround everywhere. Thanks for the replies.
You need to get some quotes from the ultra-discount dealers. There's one in Missouri called (IIRC) "Lutz" that sells for below invoice. I bought my new 2006 from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho for ~30% below MSRP, WAY below invoice, and was treated like royalty the whole time. Folks come from across the country to buy from these guys; they have a newspaper story framed on the wall of one guy who rode his bike from California to pick up his truck.
It may sound like a long way, but if it saves you many thousands of dollars it will be worth a few days on the road and some hotel bills.
Seriously - before you do anything else, call 800-635-8000, ask for Alex Martinson (the sales guy who worked with me), and see what he can do for you. At least you'll be making an informed decision. I've steered a couple other people there since I bought mine and they've all come away astonished at the prices they've gotten.

If your looking to get a new Dodge ( 05 or 06) call Dave Smith Motors. The call is free and you've nothing to lose. I'm not even going to tell you how much I saved over the local Crook.
