I installed the Bully Tailgate lock the week I bought mine. I have used them on other trucks. Like stated above it is an easy install and should be what Dodge puts on the truck.

Ditto, lock the doors with your factory remote and your tailgate locks too. http://www.pace-edwards.com/powergate.asp

What does the key look like? I mean, is it a decent kind of key, or a little bitty thing? I'd really like to get one if I could get it rekeyed to match the truck cap.

My bully is a full length key with a sizeable plastic handle. It's not like a small masterlock key to a receiver lock if that is what you are thinking.

I installed this a few months ago. Works great.

I went one step further. The key is the same pattern as the five T-handles on my ARE truck cap. So, I took the tailgate handle back out, took it to a lock smith, and within 30 minutes he re-keyed it so I can use my ARE key in it- now I don't need so many keys. Hope this helps someone.
