A little worried.

I would like to put cab lights on my truck but have heard alot of complaints of them leaking, should I get them or not, whats the problem???? Is it worth ruining my headliner???

i just put them on yesterday so i cant say if they will leak or not. they are the smoked recons. install was easy. i applied silicone to BOTH sides of the basket and the screw holes as well as a VERY fine bead around the lights where they contact the cab. i think today i will smear a bit around the light cover where it meets the bas of the light. seriously tho, if you have silicone where water could get in, they should not leak. well see tho. ill post pics l8r

I've had 7 replaced since I got my truck in Sept. I love the way they look but I'm sick of getting wet.

I had the dealer to install mine before I picked it up. 15000 miles and not one leak. Maybe I'm lucky but I love them.

Mine came factory installed, no probs whatsoever! My truck is base model, but made a point to get them oredered. I love the way they look on the truck. I turn them ON at the slightest hint of darkness or overcast skes.

Use good silicone and make sure it gets to dry very well before you get into any weather or hit the car wash. Personally, I wouldn't bother. I installed cab lights on my work truck and they don't help anything at all. Put on some firefly valve stem lights instead.
