lights on

Looking for an answer? My dials in the instrument cluster will not turn off. The red pointers stay on all the time after the vehicle has been turned off.

Have you tried turning the brightness/Dimmer control? Maybe it's in one of the on positions?

I have tried the dimmer control. The red pointers are the only light on. No door chime like when you leave your lights on. I have also tried the fog lights and cargo light switches. All other lights turn on and off.

Are they on if you leave the truck for an hour or so? I wonder if it's a delay feature and you haven't given it enough time to turn off?

I don't think the needles even light up except with the same light that illuminates the gauges themselves. I think they act similar to fiber optics carrying the light from the gauge display lights. In other words, I don't think they have a separate lamp for the needles.

The lights will stay on all day and night. They are the only lights that are luminated. All other lights have been turning off if left on.

The light switch was fine they also tried to reflash the pcm but no luck in getting the lights to turn off. The dealer had to overnight a new instrument cluster due to a short. The new instrument cluster worked fine last night with my 16ft tool trailer attached. The dealer didnt question me about any of the mods on my truck. I did install the bypass loop for the quad box prior to taking the truck in.
