knock in front end

I have a 04 dodge 2500 4x4 and the front rattles and knocks when I go over bumps on the road or in town. I replaced the shocks but still knocks when going over rough spots in road. Sway bar maybe loose?. Any info would be apreciated as this noise is driving me crazy. Thanks

Check the lower shock mounting bolts and the track bar mounts, and make sure the track bar is not shot.

Check the stabilizer (sway) bar links... mine had a similar knock. Dealer could not find it. I found after 2 hours of looking. Cost About $55.00 for the part and 10 minutes to change. Good luck.

Last resort bud, your steering column shaft. I tried everything on my truck and that's all it was. It was seized and would not move causing a bang in the steering wheel. Free and easy fix. I hope that's all it is...
