Keyless entry problem

Anyone have any experience with the controller? My '06 went in for a laundry list of little things....Apparently, the big problem now is that the keyless entry won't consistetly lock/unlock. They ordered one in last week & it still has the problem. I have not been able to get the all the details yet, but will be asking today. FYI...They have both keys, to help isolate the problem & program both keys to the controller

BTW....they still have the truck & fortunately for them, I'm out on travel for the week.

Anyone have any insight?

TIA

Tony

I have noticed that my 06 keyless isnt as realiable to get the doors unlocked also, especially when doing the double click to get the rears unlocked. My 03 was a no-brainer - but on the 06 it takes several attempts.

I have found that you have to hold the button down for a couple of seconds. Not just a click like my '04

Mine does the same thing too...and I thought it might be a weak battery or something.

Will the older style remote not part of the key work on the 06?....I hope!

So, I spoke with the dealer....they are of the opinion it is fixed. I emphasized that they have the truck until Saturday, when I get back. They commented that they will test drive it and keep testing the keyless. I did not have time to get details from the service writer as to details about the issue. I'll have plenty of time for that on Saturday.

We'll see! If there's a solid fix for it, I'll post the solution.

Also, I was not impressed with the distance from the vehicle required to lock/unlock and overal operation of the keyless entry.
