Keyfob coolness.

Ok so I turned my horn off when I lock the doors, it now only takes one push to unlock all the doors, my seatbelt buzzer doesn't go off anymore.

Other then the lights flashing and the time delay for the interior lights what else can you program with the Keyless entry?

when I did mine it took me awhile to learn that when it says "hold the lock button then hit the unlock button" it meant to hold them both at the same time.

On the 06 you need to use the enclosed attachment (yellow in color) rather than the actual manual. I had the same problem untill I discovered the attachment. Which is done outside the vehicle.

Well after doing all the re-programming... I went out to my truck the other day and hit the "unlock..." as I got into the truck, the horn just stayed on a steady beep for about 15 seconds and my "door ajar" light would not shutoff for nothing and the interior lights would not turn off. I drove for a few miles and at my next stop, I re-programmed everything back to normal and everything has been working fine since?!

Tony, I have never experienced anything quite like that (and I've reprogrammed mine too) but I have had a couple of odd instances when I unlock the truck with the keyfob, then open a door and the alarm goes off! Anyway, I just hit the Unlock button again and it resets itself, no biggie. Another time at the car wash, the attendant pulled the truck around, got out, closed the door, and the horn started blaring, but no flashing lights. Again, I hit the Unlock button and it reset. Very strange.

Dr Moab, I have my truck programmed the same way: no horn, all doors unlock, and no seatbelt chime. That should be the default programming from the factory!

I don't know how long those batteries work inside the FOB. I say this as I have noticed that when I walk up to the truck and hit the Unlock, I will either see my Lights flash but noticed it didn't unlock the doors. Second hit and all is good. OR I have seen where the lights don't flash but I hear the door unlock.

Yeah it was pretty whacky... I too notice that sometimes I have to hit the unlock button several times just to get the door unlocked... or sometimes I have to be standing on top of the door to get it to unlock, not sure if these new all-in-wonder keys are all that great... range doesn't seem to be good at all!

Depending upon the sun declination and moon phase, range is between 150 feet to zero. The security alarm FOB is possessed (and expensive).
