Just in time!

I've had brake pads sitting around for a month or so...I finally got the time to install them. Had the rotors turned also. There was no indication on the rotors that this pad was about ready to go metal to metal!
I also found some damage to the steering damper so replace it too:

I had the same issue on my 07. From the outside, the pads looked good. Rears were original at 130kmi and started squealing like the indicator was hitting the rotor.
Found the rear pads, the shim plate riveted to the back had rusted off allowing uneven wear like your pic. I was just in time too.
