Just got a Retrax tonneau cover...Awesome!!

Hey everybody, I just installed the Retrax tonneau cover last week, and WOW, that thing is nice. It’s obvious why the price is what it is. Install was very easy…took a little over an hour, and I work pretty slow. It looks like it’s going to be pretty weather-proof, and looks awesome. You almost can’t see it from the side of the truck, which is what I wanted. I ordered from truckaddons…they seemed to have the lowest price, and were quick to correct an address issue I had (their mistake). Anyways, if you were looking into a tonneau, this thing is bitchen!!

I too have a Retrax retractable bed cover.

It is pricey but so easy to use. I really like it but it is not perfect. I looked closely at all the options & preferred the Retrax

The storage cannister does take up some bed space.

I highly recommend to keep it well waxed.

You can purchase them for around US$800 on Ebay.

Where did you get the mud flaps on your truck. Are they rubber or plastic? Do you have anymore pics of them?

Moparnut,

My rear mudflaps are nothing special at all. They are dark in the picture so they look ok.

They are cheap rubber mudflaps made in Canada by Airhawk. 12 x 22 inches with a stainless insert.
They are made of recycled rubber and the white cords in the rubber is showing. I dont' recommend these.

A much better mud flap is Pro-Flaps out of Washington.

The "Cadillac" of mudflaps would be the Cloud-riders.

I hope this helps.. Joe

Neither page says that these come in pairs, can I be safe to assume that they come in pairs?
Thanks
Eric

I also just installed a Retrax cover. Lived with that POS roll bak for two years
and could not do it anymore. Very happy. Yes, pricey but worth it

I've been on the verge of buying a Retrax for a while now. I just don't like the room that you lose up front. I put a pair of Jet Skis in my truck, and that's valuable space to me.

The other one that I've been looking at is the Peragon, only because you can remove it easily when needed.

I was thinking about getting a peragon but after reading reviews I changed my mind. (google "peragon reviews") I thought about the retrax but ended up with a Fold-a-Cover G4. I've had it about a year and I like it. I wanted something that would work with my Fifth wheel/hitch and it does.

Those very reviews are the reason I still haven't bought anything yet.
