I get nothing of value - information wise - from my dealer. Just got a VIN today, ordered 03/02/04, salesman left dealer, got order wrong, changed order 03/25/04 can get NO information from dealer or DC line about time frame on my truck. Dealer did say the VIN means should be here in 4 weeks. I have read alot about "Insight" what is it and how do I use it to track my order? Thanks, Scott C

The wait is the WORST part. I learned to cope with my sickness of checking this site hourly by just forgetting about the truck. EXTREMELY difficult to do and probably could use a few theropy sessions as a result...

You should be able to find your dealer code on your receipt maybe, or quote printout, etc. Just look around! I found mine on the dealer quote page...

Another route (I haven't tried this but may be worth a try) is to do a vehicle search on www.dodge.com with your zip code. Select your dealer and then check inventory. Pick any truck and view the WINDOW STICKER. That might have the dealer code on it.

hey thanks, sticker has only two numbers at bottom one VIN and one "L4 VON 8642" is that it? What's the format? I'll be NUTS before it gets here - by the way had LOTS of trucks 3 ford diesels Lots of 460s I loved (haulled butt!!) and several chevy 454 & 427s but I cannot wait for my first Dodge...

 

Its a 5 number digit. Mine is 52807.

I'd just call your dealer tomorrow and ask your salesman. No reason why he shouldn't give it to you.

Or, post the name of dealer and see if someone else knows it!

 

THat sounds familiar. Yep - any window sticker will have the 5 digit code near the VIN number.
