I'm looking for a very specific picture...
raising 1/2" more than yours is going to cause all sorts of problems? ummmmmmmmmm. i disagree, but please elaborate.
driveline angles, steering link angles, control arms to short, track bar and drag link need to stay in line, which gets hard to do once you start adding drop backets. 3" seems to be the line, mine is short of that. hell you can fit 35" tires at stock, the only reason i added any lift was i needed an upgraded susp. for off-road overland use. the shortest system made is about 2.75"
not trying to insult you, to each their own. just didn't want you to go jumping into it with out looking at what it takes to go higher.

thanks, and no worries, i do believe we are doing different things with our trucks. I did add the carli track bar and control arms as well.
Looks like you have a plan, sounds good, i would watch doing a drop pitman arm and not dropping the track bar in line with it... thats what causes bump steer. the drag link and track bar have to be perfectly in line with each other. being ajustible doesn't make them line up. what ever you drop the pitman, the track bar needs as well...
Anyways, good luck with the truck and post some pics when it's done!

still looking for pictures if anybody else can come up with some.
Wow, I get the feeling I'm an idiot because I run 35" tires and didn't lift my truck at least 4"...
I thought lifts were nothing more than a discount way to put larger tires on.
Lifts destroy a vehicle's ride and stability, nobody can argue that. If you want an off-road racer you'll keep the truck as low as possible while retaining suspension movement and cut the wheel wells for clearance.
I just don't see any lifted Baja racers. Really, what does a lift do for anyone besides allow bigger tires without the expense of body mods? Unless you are rock climbing your diesel.
The nicest Dodge I have seen to date is a 2500 Mega with a 7" lift running 37" tires. He had matching painted flares and the truck just had a perfect stance. AND the guy pulled a big trailer with it. I know.... Lifts and pulling don't go together either.

i didnt say anybody was an idiot. i clearly said that it was MY OPINION that it looks retarded. mostly because of where i live, there's no off road racing unless you're going up rocks. Its purely a looks thing for me just like it is for you seeing as you leveled your truck and put 18" rims on it.
destroying the ride all depends on what kind of lift you put on it. spend $500 on a 6" lift and you're right. and if i towed constantly i wouldnt have a 4x4 or a 3/4 ton. lets just end the my opinion is............... part of this thread and get it back to pictures please.
