Exclamation If cleanliness is Godliness, I’m going to hell.

Word to the wise. Buy the rear wheel liners.
I love driving the back roads of Colorado. Last weekend I drove about 100 miles on dirt, gravel, mud, and muck (it’s finally raining here!) I cleaned the truck today. D__, I must have had 100 pounds of dirt hanging underneath. Some of it, I don’t know how it got there. I have big mudflaps --- 12” by 24” on each wheel. But without the wheel liners, the rear wheels threw s*&% everywhere. Took me a half hour to spray it off. Never had this problem with my 01. So, down to the dealer. Will they know what I want or does someone have a part number?
Thanks, Jim in Colorado.

Try this...

http://www.newdodgeparts.com/accessories.htm
Click the link for 'Dodge' on the left, then select 'Ram'... scroll down until you find:

Item Number: 82207367
$75.65

You could buy online and save yourself the hassle of dealing with the parts counter.

I love mine on my 01. Now, I wonder if they'll work when I lift it?

I just looked at the newdodgeparts.com site and priced the liners and a mud flaps for Big Red, and I have to wonder... My dealer had a picture in the show room of a Ram with a couple add ons and said they're available from the parts department at a discount. The on-line parts don't have sales tax but will cost 10 - 15 % for shipping, and I think I saw somewhere that the liners have extra shipping charges because of their size (I could be wrong, slept and killed a couple brain cells since then ) If I buy from the dealer I pay 6% sales tax, no shipping. I figure if I can get 10% off list from the dealer I"m better to buy local.

Any experiences with this?

A good weekend to all!

Bud

I got my liners from the dealer for $80. After installing them, I sprayed them heavily with Armor-All to make them slippery and not hold mud. They have stayed nice and black and can be washed off easily. Respray them with Armor-All after washing the truck.
