Idea for heat grid current draw dampening.

The car sterio nuts here have seen them.. Capacitors. Car audio circles call them caps. A 1 farad capacitor between the battery and the heat grid relay might eliminate most peoples complaints about them.

I remember how my freinds trucks headlights dimmed when the bass hit.

The capacitor would work much in the same way. A flash of current would be available from the cap when the grids needed it but it would'nt immediately drop battery voltage to get it.

Just an idea. Not sure if I'd bother but if you are electronically inclined and the normal operation of the best cold start diesel system on the market bothers you that much you know how to smooth it out.

For the grid heaters I wouldn't worry about it; why fix something that isn't broke. You don't pay any attention to it after a couple of times, other than knowing the grid heaters are working. How did someone else put it? Grid heaters, check sat.

For continuous use while listening to music, where excessive current draw interfered with the sound quality, I think its a great idea.
