Thumbs up I LOVE My CTD!!

Earlier this week, I had to go pick up an SRT-10 Ram for a friend of mine up in Vacaville, about 440 miles to the north of here. Anyways, after dealing with the UHaul place that at first gave me the wrong trailer (but made up for it by getting me the right one when we got there) we fueled up in town and started the trek south to Anaheim. I made it from Vacaville to Anaheim, and back to my house, used only 3/4 tank of fuel, did the numbers, didn't believe it, re-checked again and again, same thing, I was averaging 16.2 mpg towing that 5100 lb truck, 2000 lb trailer and 7000 lb+ of my truck and supplies, even when going up the Grapevine pass which it was still in overdrive the whole time. This is the heaviest I've worked my truck to date, and this thing gets better fuel mileage working than it does during the daily commute!

The guy who he bought it from learned a big lesson in the "ya gotta pay to play" dept. He put a blower on the thing and ended up burning a cyl out, couldn't afford to fix it, so he sold it. As for the truck barely fitting on the trailer, man, there was NO ROOM width wise, it was 80" wide, and the trailer was 80" wide, length was fine. It ain't fun trying to push a heavy azz truck up onto a trailer. Took 5 of us to do it. I'm also looking to buy my own car trailer now, and add a winch!!!!!!!!

Done a bit of car haulin myself - you have to love these trucks.
Sure a few glitches here and there , but I would not own any thing else.
I have to agree - - I love this truck!

I can't say enough about how great these trucks pull a load, just the best hauler I've had in the 40+ years I've been towing stuff.

By the way, a come-along or small electric winch is a lot easier than pushing something up onto a car hauler or flatbed trailer. Will give you a good excuse for a small winch in the toolbox. I have used mine for so much stuff, valuable tool. You can load things by yourself or with another person instead of having to take along a truck full of people - man van comes in handy here. Plus you and your buddy will have that case of beer to yourselves.
