Smile I just bought a 600 info needed

Alright, I did it, I fininshed up with my HORRIBLE 6.0 and took my refund and bought me a HO. haha. loaded thanks to the info on this site. it is still at the dealer because I havent gone to the bank yet. should I have all the tsbs done before I even pick it up. what do i tell my dealer to look up. I also really want the high idle feature. can I get it? (it is an auto.) or should i just let it be. i did the reflash game with my ford and it only got worse and worse. is this the same way with DC? I hope not. what are all the tsbs and what do they address? sorry so many questions but I am just very excited. thanks guys and I sure hope I love it. sincerly JOhn

If its a early 600 I would have the reflash done. If it was made after about the middle of Feb I wouldn't worry about because I believe they were reflased at the factory. Unless your having trouble with the miss or the hesitation.

The high idle TSB is 18-004-04. My truck if you let it idle for 2 minutes (if its cold out) it automatically kicks the idle up to 1000RPM's all buy itself until it reaches a certain temp and then it lowers back to idle

Did you look on the valve cover to make sure it is the 600? The HO is the 305/555.
The 600 will say 325hp at 2900 RPM's
The HO 305 will say 305hp at 2900 RPM's

"My new truck don't need no stinkin reflash she runs like a raped ape......"

Drive it and enjoy it, I am.

I know it is a 600 i just thought that was funny. I am talking about the high idel where you hit the cruise control when you want to bump the idle up for extended idleing. I hope I can get that. thanks for you reply. can I enter my vin number and see if the tsbs apply to me or is that only for recalls.

If you get a copy of the tsb and take it the dealer, They should be able to do the high Idle flash for you. It may take them a time or two depending if they have done it before, but it can be done. I wish I could do it for mine but its a 6spd. With you not having bought the truck yet they will probably try to do it to please you to get it off their lot as opposed to if you took it in after you bought it. Just let them know its important to you before you buy it and that you know it can be done.
