Hub assembly stuck- need tips for removal!!

Hey guys- haven't been on in a pretty long while but if anyone has any tips for me I'd really appreciate it. My brother has a '04 3/4 ton and is attempting to get the hub assembly off the front to work on the ball joints and u-joint. he removed the axle nut and also the four bolts on the backside of the assembly but for some reason the hub just won't come loose, like it's glued on or something. He's tried wacking it w/ a hammer, etc. and is about to try heating it, but I told him I'd check here for tips first. Any thoughts??? Thanks! -Josh

It is excellent, and really nice of the guy to take the time to take the photos and write it up.

I used a hub puller from J&J Hub Puller that worked great.

Snap on makes a socket that is designed to push the hubs out using the power steering... break the bolts loose, thread them out a bit, the put the socket on the bolt, turn the steering. It will push the hub out.
