How to remove taillamp housing

Hi all,

My right brake light is out and I am trying to replace it. I removed the two screws and tried to "quickly" pull out the housing per the owner's manual. But it is not coming out and I do not want to break it. What step am I missing here?

Thanks

Every time I remove these I swear they are going to break, but they never do. Just make sure you don't twist it.

Cool

There`s two pins built into the light that snap into the clips in the bedside , they are very tight and stubborn to get out , so just keep trying ,by hitting it with the palm of your hand from the front to the rear of the truck...it should end up popping out of the clips.

Yup! Don't be scared. It won't break. Sometimes they are just in there pretty tight...

^^^ Mine was real tight!. I just knew I was going to break it. I had a mechanic friend of mine to pull it out. He just laughed at me and asked if I was scared. I'll admit it, I was! Once I seen it out, I was thinking

Thought I was going to bust mine as well but it's an easy change once you get of the fear of busting it.
