Just bought a 2003 3500 4x4, crew cab dually with a blown motor and need to transport it home. Anyone know what the approximate curb weight of this beast would be?

 

Before I put the bigger wheels/tires and toolbox on mine I rolled across the scales at 8250 with me, my son, and about 1/2 tank full of diesel, so figure around 7800-8000 with no riders.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot about my bumper, probably adds a few hundred #s, so maybe a bit less than that! Sorry

 

I guess you won't buy my truck ????

Just kidding !!! Anyway BgBlkTrk's is exactly like mine, 8250lbs, I do weigh mine constantly and with 1/2 tank and me driving I get 8250 at any the scale.

 

Mine is a little less, about 7800 -8000 depending on fuel... maybe the auto is lighter??? BP.

 

my 2wd dually is right at 7600

 

Sorry Valv, I made them an offer and they didn't refuse. $8500. Local NAPA says they can send mine out and have it rebuilt for $5500. So with new oils, maybe a new clutch for good measure and a few other things I should have myself an '03 Dually 4X4, fully loaded with leather, dvd player and new engine for $15,000. Works for me, just have to get it home now......
