Horn went off on it's own
Off and on last night I kept hearing a horn blow for awhile, then it would shut off. Sounded to me like someone was having troubles with their alarm, then would go out and shut it off. Starting early this morning I would hear 2 horn beeps as if someone was locking their vehicle with a remote.
Imagine my surprise when I was outside this morning and I started to hear it again only to find out it was my truck. But this time it would not stop on its own. The entire time it was the horn only, none of the lights were flashing.
It is almost like the panic button was pressed.
I tried pressing the panic button, nothing happened.
I tried the lock and unlock button, nothing happened.
I tried the Sentry key in the ignition and started the truck, nothing happened.
I finally disconnected the batteries.
Ended up pulling the fuse to the horn and reconnecting the battery.
So, what could be wrong?

Had the same thing happen on my Ford.
I'm in bed, during planting season. Dead tired. 3 AM. Hear a god awful noise......
Wakes me up. I go running outside in my underpants and the horn is just wailing non stop for like 5 minutes. So loud, sounds way louder than the regular horn for something.
I furiously pound on the steering wheel, it stops, I go back inside and go back to sleep.
Half an hour later when I am again in a deep sleep, same thing all over again.
This time I am MAD!!!!!!
Run out, pop the hood and tear the wires off the horn......... Go back to bed and never thought about it again till I traded the truck.

Our Navigator has been doing the same thing on and off for a year now. The dealership keeps replacing the horn (we're on #3, the last 2 under warrenty). I think it's the horn relay and I even bought one just haven't had a chance to put it on yet. The horn fuse is puled for now.

Short in the horn pad
Had the same thing fixed three weeks ago. Same symptoms, but it eventually got worse and I couldn't shut it off except to pull the horn fuse. That stopped the rackit, but then the batteries eventually went dead. Took it in.... turned out to be the horn pad. All fixed now, and I got the reflash at the same time..... AND AM I EVER HAPPY !!
