HELP! Should I buy an 08?

I just walked out of the dealership... I can't decide if I really want an 08. I have an 06 with th 5.9 and I am happy with it but I want a dually.

What is really keeping me from deciding is the DPF and the regeneration cycles!

Can someone help me decide if I could live with the biggest flaw in the new truck...

I had the sales guy clarify the "lifetime power train"; turns out diesels are excluded so I told them I wasn't going to buy. Too much risk with the emissions on the 6.7...

I shopped carefully before buying mine. I could see absolutly no reason to jump into a 6.7. The bigger engine doesn't make the same increase in power, and certainly costs more in fuel. All those fancy emissions controls are going to be a lot of trouble. You never want to buy the first 2-3 years of anything new.

mine won't be my last, but i will not buy a new diesel. when mine goes, i will look till i find another low mileage CR 5.9. there are always those older guys that buy these trucks just cause they can. in a few years you will still most likely be able to find a low mileage 06 that's almost new.

I may not be looking to buy a new 6.7 now but I still need a dually.

If I convert mine with the stock bolt on DRW parts, I wonder what warranties
I will void...

I would try the dually swap... go talk to the dealer, see if they will work with you...

The only warrenties you'll void will be the rear suspension comonents that you swap out. If you have troubel, refer your dealer to the Moss-Magnusen Warrenty Act.

I will keep this in mind, since this is the plan for my truck.
