need help on what truck i should buy

Ok i am wanting to buy a 1ton dually for pulling camers for a living, what should i do as far as buying a new or used truck, because of fuel issues or power. my buddy says i outta buy a 04 or 05 for fuel issues, but im not sure. any help from you ctd owners would be greatly appreciated. oh and the trailers range from small bumper campers all the way to fully decked out 5th wheels.

its a hit or miss on milage for every truck. They all have a lift pump issue, so you can rule that out as a buying factor.

If you are on a limited budget (should be a tax write off though) I would get a 04.5-05, add you a Walboro/FASS setup first thing. You dont want to be stranded on the highway in the middle of nowhere cause a bad lift pump. The other big worry is the injectors. Pressure boxes dont seem to help but again, all trucks have this isssue.

That is tuff to say but one thing is for sure you know how the truck has been treated if it is new.
