Help me out with a buying decision
I'm looking at a 2006, 4dr, short bed "work truck" with 57,880 miles for $21,000 even.
This thing is clean as a whistle but it's a bare bones truck. It has AC but no power windows, door locks, cruise control, power mirrors or even floor carpet.
I took it on a long ride and there isn't a rattle or squeak to be heard. The CarFax says it was a one owner fleet truck, but the bed liner looks like new. Trailer receiver looks like it was never used.
The dealer that has it is a Dodge dealer and they bought it from an auction.
Truck has 57,880 miles, new tires and not a mark
Comments?

Sounds about right. I just picked up my '06 with right at 60K on the clock and it is a SLT for $23K plus TTT.
I personally like the '06s the best, but that is just personal opinion. I say get it if you are looking for one.

Work truck always has me a little concerned. It sounds like this truck was taken care of, but with a work truck, you can't ever confirm how the person or persons took care of it. Kinda of the same with a rental car, drive it like you stole it, especially if you are not paying the bills on the truck. I would also check the hours on the truck, see if it spent alot of time idling. Also, is it a slide in bedliner? If so, pick it up and look under it. Don't know where you are located, check to see if it was used for plowing.

All great points! It never had a plow rig on it as far as I can tell. No marks where a frame would have been bolted to the chassis and no welding.
I'll check under the bed liner for sure.
I agree about a "fleet vehicle".......But someone was looking after this truck because it is really clean. The engine bay looks like it has 5000 miles on it. It's not "steam clean", but it is Very clean for 57K. My current truck a 2005 Sierra with 80K looks a whole lot nastier........
