HI<br>I own a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500HD 4x4 Crew Cab with the 6.0 gas engine.This truck suck on gas.I want to swap it for a diesel truck.I do lot of travel on gravel and asphalt road.<br>My truck is a little bit too low also.<br>Did you recommend me a 2500HD Ram with the HO engine<br>And is it possible to have the HO with an auto tranny<br>Thank you

 

The worst new 3/4 ton diesel pickup will beat the best new gas 3/4 ton pickup in fuel mileage any day of the week. The more loaded down the trucks are the better the diesel will perform relative to the gas truck.

You won't be sorry with an H.O. Cummins and yes it is now available with an auto.

My next door neighbor has a 2002 2500HD 4x4 CC with the 6.0. And it sucks the gas. He's only getting about 11mpg city and 14mpg highway. Wishing now that he should have bought the Duramax/Allison. He can't believe that I'm getting almost 18mpg city and 21mpg highway out of my truck!<br><br>MikeyB

 

one of co. trucks is a Chevy 6.0 gasser, low on steam, hard on gas.

The new auto tranny for both the HO and the non-HO is the 48RE.
