Help, ABS light...

Hi, we just got around 16 or so inches of snow and my dad had his ford 2WD work truck stuck in the drive way. well i had to pull him out a total of probably 400 yard or so (the length of the sub division) when i got about half way out of the neighborhood my ABS light and my emergency brake light came on... does anyone know why this has happened???? did i screw somthing up??? its 4:00 AM i have to get off and go to work. i work for the highway dept and i have to go and salt these roads which aint workin worth a hoot....
thanks for the help

Eric

I had the ABS light come on. Took it to dealer and the tech found water in the connector, dried it out and put some dialectric in it. Problem has not come back in 10,000 miles figured it fixed.

same thing happend to me once on my 03. i was just driving down the freeway and the chime went off once and the ABS and emg brake light came on. took it to the dealership and they said it was a speed sensor (whatever that is?). anyway they fixed it in less than an hour.

when the ABS light is on they said your ABS will not work but the brakes work like normal. don't know if there is any truth to that or not.

hope this helps some and have fun in the snow!
