Heated seats

I have an 04' ram quad cab, 40 20 40 cloth seats with motor adjustment. My friends buddy is selling his leather seats they are also heated, (same year, and style) for $400 hundo . Since my truck did not come with the heated seat option, because they are cloth. Will my truck still have the wiring harness for the heated seat option or will I have to buy that also from DC.

thanks for any help

Save yourself the grief. My truck is all ready wired for the heated seats. Who wants leather anyways??
I'll give you 450 for them.

My advice would be to get some aftermarket seat heaters installed if you dont need/want leather They are a relatively easy upgrade to any seats and not terribly expensive. The factory heated seats are about the worst I've ever experienced..they take forever to get warm and don't really get that warm even after a long time of being on high. 99% of the time I have heat out of the vents by the time the heated seat warms up - at least when we're talking less than 20F outside..

SO the actual answer to the question you asked is that yes there will be wiring privisions in the wiring harness for the heaters. It saves a ton of money to have only one harness to install. You would also have to install the control module. My .02 is i to just add the Rostra Seat warmer system. Likey be much less work. I've also heard that adding an electrical componenet to the system can or will cause the computer to have a fault code. If its a valid point or not, I do not know.

It must be the leather. I was in my father's Nissan Altima with leather and the seats took much longer to warm up than my truck.

Definitely not, no offense. I had a jetta tdi (with the same wet okole seat covers) before my cummins and those leather seats heated up incredibly quickly (not to mention having 5 temp settings). My dads car has leather and is the same way, but my friend lori's new c280 I rode in last week topped them all. The seats were getting hot in literally about 10 seconds.. Considering how long our ctd's take to warm up, it is somewhat annoying at least to me how long they take, especially on those 5F mornings..
