Got a VIN number and date today, how dependable?
Thanks for the encouraging replies. I was thinking it could be weeks of waiting past the estimated date.
This will be fun, I am looking forward to the new truck arrival.

I was told 8 to 10 weeks from date of order for delivery.
I pick up tomorrow - 9 weeks from date of order.
When I got my VIN and a production date they hit that exactly. However my truck spent 6 weeks in transit. 3 of those sitting at the port of Newark. I was told that this was a longer than normal delay due to holidays.

Dave,
Since I live in Northern California, mine will come across at Laredo on a railroad car. Maybe I should, "make a run for the border."
Sounds like the schedule is more or less on time.

I was also given an approximate ship date of Jan 12th and one of the customer service reps guessed they'd start the build on the 9th. We'll they did end up starting the build on the 9th but it hasn't actually shipped from Saltillo yet (as of Jan 14). It's in "JS" status which is storage until they can find/fill the rail car(s).
Good luck!
