Ok, i finally got my timbrens about a week ago. I waited until i had used them a couple of times to post. I think i did very well, I was going to buy them for 225.00, but the guy at the shop said he would install it all for 275.00. I am glad i let him do it.
I was thinking i would have to special order longer timbrens, or i would have to add a bunch of extension to get them down to the axle because of the lift. Turns out they knew what they were doing, they put in a 2inch block with wings for the timbrens to sit on..... cool.
I have towed twice since having them installed, yesterday i hauled a 3100 pound pallet of tile across town, including across the buckman bridge "3 miles long with a big hump" . The truck sits nice and level and rides very stable, so far i give the timbrens an A- The minus is because there is a bump on the way to my house that is quit prominent, i usually hit it around 50mph and its just enough to "bump" the timbrens. Other than that one bump so far the truck rides exactly like it did before they were installed.
Here is a picture of the timbren with the wing. For 275.00 installed i think this is a great modification.
