I would be careful with the 05. Seems the 04.5-05 LLY had a lot of cooling issues. I would look into an 06-07 LBZ classic if it were me. I wouldn't be afraid to buy a new one either. Put some nice wheels and tires on it, crank the torsions up and call it good. If you can't swing a newer one then an 04 LB7 with low miles and mint condition would be my third choice. JMO of course.

I came to a CTD from a 2005 LLY D-Max and would never go back. Agree 100% with the post above about seeking a 2006-07 LBZ model.

well, on the LLY, u really have to run them hard, and pull way heavy to get most of them hot, maybe 1 of 10 if that have overheated...they only more common prob with them is the #5 & #7 injector harness goin bad, but its under warranty so no biggie...i really wanted a LB7 though, just cause no EGR on them, but thats easy fix too, the LB7's with low miles is just hard to find.and the LLY's be built now are makin power like the LB7's and holding up just as well, but all that prob stuff is no deal, my buddy here has a 800hp LB7, and we've had its motor out 3 times, and gotten easier each time, so i've already learned some on it...lol

How'd your wife take it when you came out of the closet? Just kidding! Sorry to see you go, but I hope your new truck works out good for you.
