OK. I'm really interested in installing a gauge set or device for monitoring. I know I need to monitor my EGT's as I tow a trailer in the summer. What else should I be monitoring?

 

Look at the Quadzilla Commander, you can monitor EGT, Coolant temp, tranny temp, fuel psi, rail psi, boost ect. You can have up to 4 on the screen at a time. All the while the Commander still monitors all of the readings for you and will warn you ( If set up for it ) if any of the readings get too high! Very nice set up!

 

Thanks for the info, I think I need more info on what I should be monitoring though. Also, how does it monitor information. Do you have to install sensors or does it use the OBD II port?

 

And if that is a little too pricy the Quad Recon does EGT, Tranny temp and boost, with an optional fuel pressure to replace the tranny temp if wanted but only one at a time is displayed. See Larry Ellis here for pricing. Takes less than an hour to install with drilling the exaust manifold being the hardest part, at least to me.
